Meet the Team!

Board Members

Founder

Sreelakshmi Raghav is the founder of Everyday Med. She is a senior at Little Rock Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. She loves medicine as it is an ever-changing field with new practices and research emerging at all times! She enjoys volunteering at various hospitals and shadowing healthcare professionals to gain more knowledge in the field. She founded Everyday Med to provide other students an opportunity to use their skills and also learn about everyday medicine, as well as COVID-19 during this pandemic. Apart from medicine, she enjoys Indian dance, learning new languages, and cooking!

Vice President

Surabhee Eswaran is a Senior at Little Rock Central High. She is interested in the STEM field and hopes to have a career in medicine in the future. She is involved in her school’s engineering and science clubs and also volunteers at her local hospital, UAMS. She has trained in Indian Classical Dance for the last 12 years and loves learning about different languages and cultures.

Researcher

Alex Borengasser is a rising senior at Little Rock Central High School in Little Rock, AR. He has been intrigued by medicine ever since he was little. He wants to become a doctor when he is older because medicine is almost like a puzzle. Figuring out what is wrong with a patient and working to find a solution is really fun, and if he can help people while doing it, that's an added bonus. Some other important things about him are his 10-year-old terrier puppy named Rocko, who he loves very much. In his free time, he enjoys baking, playing chess, and reading sci-fi books.

Researcher

Keya Mann is a rising Junior from the Bay Area. To her, medicine provides an endless amount of opportunities in variant fields, meaning she can always work on something different. It is also a field where improvements are made everyday, and she wants to contribute to that improvement. Apart from medicine, she also enjoys singing and debate!

Researcher

Anna is a senior at St. Pius X High School in Kansas City, MO. Her future aspirations are to work in pediatrics. Other than medicine, Anna enjoys pretty much everything, from sports to choir to student council. She is so excited to be a part of Everyday Med as a researcher and board member.

Researcher

Serena is one of the researchers for Everyday Med. She is from Vancouver, BC, and currently in grade 11. She enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and exploring nature. She loves helping others, especially those who are in need. In addition, she wants to encourage others in pursuing their dreams in the medical field. She hopes to provide others in need with accessible and accurate resources. She would like her work to guide people and help them find a greater understanding of their career as well as with themselves.

Editor

Devanandh Murugesan is from London and is currently in Year 12. He wants to study medicine because he loves the problem solving element of clinical cases and believes in integrating medical research with clinical work, to promote innovation in healthcare, with the end goal of improving patients' quality of life. If you don’t find him studying, he will usually be playing chess or following origami tutorials on YouTube!

Lucy Ge is a rising junior from the Bay Area. She is excited to spread her love for medicine through editing articles on medical topics. Outside of Everyday Med, she also writes for her school's online news site, handles the budget for her school's Key Club, and participates in political advocacy organizations.

Zain Qureshi is a Junior in High School from Harrisburg, PA. He enjoys medicine as he finds it fascinating to be able to diagnose problems in the human body, and help people feel better! Besides medicine, he enjoys playing a sport called squash (it’s not very common) and discussing current events/issues!

​Rachel Glantzberg is an incoming freshman from Millstone, New Jersey. Medicine interests her because every case received is just like a puzzle that medical professionals have to solve to obtain a diagnosis. Other than medicine, her interests include reading and hanging out with friends!

Tiya is a rising sophomore from Princeton, New Jersey. She loves medicine because it is constantly expanding and there is so much to discover. Other than her passion for medicine, she is also passionate about writing and painting!

Karis Kelly is a rising sophomore from Chicago, Illinois. She has enjoyed medicine since 7th grade after seeing the amazing work that doctors do for people. Outside of medicine, Karis is the AMO for the Junior Economic Club of Chicago and is a member of the Chicago Youth Alliance for Climate Action.

Graphic Designer

London is a rising sophomore from Southern California. She is a graphic designer here at Everyday Med. Her mom is a doctor, and exposed her to medicine at a young age. She is her biggest inspiration, and her work sparked her interest in medicine. When she’s not practicing sutures and reading up on technique, you can find her drawing, dancing, or reading about theoretical physics! Art in any form and science of any study are her passion!

Graphic Designer

Samantha is a rising senior from Toronto, Canada. In the near future, she hopes to pursue a medicine related career as she loves the dynamic work environment and the ever-evolving innovation in healthcare. Other than her passion for medicine, she also loves to do art, especially with ink and watercolor, and watch Brooklyn 99 on repeat!

Advisor

Lakshmi Sriram is entering her first year at McMaster University in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program. She’s honoured to be an advisor this year for Everyday Med because of her passion for the field of biology and medicine! She loves the world of medicine due to its roots in science, and the vast research opportunities and unlimited learning it offers. Apart from academics, she loves to perform and practice South Indian classical dance and has recently started reading books for leisure again! 

Advisor

Sadia is from Toronto and is going to be entering her first year at Queen’s University this fall, studying Health Sciences. She thinks medicine is such an interesting field because there are no limits to the innovations that can be made, all in the name of bettering the lives of others. She also has a particular interest in public health which has definitely been heightened by COVID-19. She’s an extremely avid reader and has been trying to read as much as she possibly can with all this free time in quarantine. She also loves going to concerts and can’t wait until the pandemic is over to see all her favourite artists live!

Advisor

Aashima is an incoming freshman at VCU. She lives in VA, and she is interested in pursuing medicine because of her interest in patient interaction and a chance to learn more in-depth about human physiology. In her free time, she loves to paint and read. One of her favorite classics is To Kill A Mockingbird!

Ruhi is from Columbus, Ohio and is an incoming first-year at The Ohio State University majoring in neuroscience. She is interested in medicine because it’s a dynamic field and finds it a privilege to be entrusted with a patient’s health. In her free time, she works as a math instructor and enjoys baking!

Outreach Manager

Kaylee is an incoming junior from Corona, California. She loves medicine because she believes this broad sector has limitless opportunities to save and positively impact numerous individuals' lives, ultimately making a difference in the world. Additionally, Kaylee loves to bake, read, and listen to music!

Outreach Committeewoman

Ella Kaufman is a sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia. She loves medicine because it allows her to gain insight about the internal and external factors of the human body and mind, and will one day enable her to simultaneously provide patients with the opportunity to see another day. Ella enjoys trail running and playing the piano!

Bianca is a senior from Gilroy, CA. She loves medicine because it’s always pushing itself to the limits and improving. Medicine is able to help people while it improves which she really likes. Bianca loves bike rides and listening to music!

Kiruthiga is an incoming junior from Markham, ON, Canada. She loves medicine because it proves the power of science and how amazing our bodies are! She enjoys using her strengths, talents and abilities to directly help others. One day, she hopes to either be a pediatrician or optometrist. Outside of medicine, Kiruthiga enjoys dancing, writing, playing piano and Netflix!

Sophie Li is a rising sophomore from Dallas, Texas. She enjoys medicine because of the vital job that it plays in today’s society. It really interests her to see how medical professionals make a big impact in the world. She enjoys playing tennis and painting in her free time!

Kenith Taukolo is a rising sophomore at the Illinois Math and Science Academy. He likes to bike and binge watch criminal minds. He is passionate about creating a change in the world. He aspires to become a trauma surgeon and joined this organization to hopefully understand people from all backgrounds. He is so excited to be a part of Everyday Med!
